In addition to the indexes, applications for Fictitious Business Names and Marriage Licenses are available on-line. The Kings County Clerk-Recorder’s Office Public Records system allows us to provide, as a free service to our community, searchable indexes for Birth, Death, Marriage, Real Estate, & Fictitious Business Names. Once a document is recorded it becomes a public record. The types of documents that may be filed with the County Clerk-Recorder are established by California law. Other duties include the issuance and registration of Marriage Licenses Birth, Death, and Marriage Certificates Fictitious Business Names Photocopier and Unlawful Detainer Licenses Notary Bond Filings and Oaths and the Licensing of Process Servers and Legal Document Assistants.
